Nigeria's biggest music school opens new center in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Just few weeks after opening a new study center in Port Harcourt, Nigeria’s biggest school of music (Tenstrings Music Institute) has taken on another giant stride by opening a new center of the school in the heart of Lekki Phase 1, called “The Lekki Urban Center”.
The new center was opened in partnership with renowned Nigerian music producer – Fliptyce: the producer of hits such as “Chop my Money” – Psquare ft. Akon, “Yemi Alade” – Kissing, and “Ile Ijo” – May D. In a statement released by the school’s founder, Mr. Akapo Emmanuel, “this collaboration is to provide a grooming platform for aspiring musicians and producers interested in learning the fundamentals of music, audio production, recording, sound engineering (including the use of the various digital audio workstations) and fundamental music business skills.

Our music production and engineering programs focus on artistic applications essential to sound professionals: microphone technique, mixing, critical listening, session management, studio etiquette and basic song composition and programming. Our students will have access to some of the best industry producers and sound engineers including our chief sound instructor, Fliptyce Beat.

The school is furnished to international standard and staffed with some of the best music instructors in the country”. According to Fliptyce: "Producers will no longer find it difficult to get royalties on their contents, neither will having their own publishing deals be a problem anymore after going through our programs."

In addition to audio engineering courses, the new Lekki Urban Center of the school will provide professional training in dance and playing of all musical instruments, for both adults and kids.

School Address: 5A Chris Efuyemi Onanuga Street, off Otunba Adedoyin Ogungbe ( besides First Bank), Lekki Phase 1, Lekki, Lagos.

Description: Fromh Lekki Phase 1 gate, enter 1st turning on your right hand, then 1st turning on your right hand again, move forward on the street, you’ll see a first bank, Tenstrings is besides it.
