Most brides and grooms desire ceremonies that’ll linger in their memories for years and years to come.
The sort of ceremony that’ll be sparkly, fun, beautiful, colourful and every other word bright and happy.
A cake company is making this fairytale come alive for many couple out there in Indonesia.
The family-run Le Novelle Cake Company produces some of the most breathtaking cake designs you’ll ever find anywhere in the world.
The pastries they
create are not just edible delights, they are also majestic pieces of
art… nine-tiered Japanese pagodas, fairytale castles of sweetness,
cathedrals, etc – in as much as the couple can afford them, as each of
these cakes range from £4,000 to £400,000.
The grand cakes, lots
of which are beset with real electric lights, usually come off looking
like something straight out of a Disney film.
According to Tiffany Riyadi, whose parents Susanti Sunardjie and Ricky Riyadi founded the company, “We have to transport the cakes in parts.
“Usually we need two trucks to carry a structural cake. Otherwise they won't fit through a normal car door.
“Most
of our clients are truly astonished and happy. The photos do not show
the true scale and enormity of the cake themselves. Lots of our clients
are surprised at how large they are.
"Their reactions
make us very proud. I love how we can make a work of art that wows
people and make their wedding day even more special.”
She
also adds that each cake usually takes one month to complete, with the
most complicated one to date taking more than 9,000 hours to finish.
